Courses

Learn how to climb from qualified instructors, from the basics of how to fit your harness and become a competent climber, to the skills that are required to lead on indoor walls.

Once you have gained experience on the indoor wall, and are happy with all aspects of indoor climbing. You may wish to take a course on how to transfer your new skills to the outside crags where a completely new set of skills and knowledge is required for you to enjoy the sport of climbing.

Induction course

4 x 1 ½ hour sessions £60 per person, instructor and all equipment included. The course deals with all aspects required to come and use the centre safely.

Taster Course

The ideal session for family or friends, 1 ½ hours for up to 4 people £50, hire of rock shoes not included. Extra climbers are £9.75

Rock Climbing Outside

Induction Course to Rock

Date: Whenever a instructor is free, please check at reception.
Venue: Dependent on weather and prevailing wind.
Cost: £150 per day for a group size of up to 4 people.
Who is it for: Those who are competent at indoor climbing and wish to progress onto natural rock.
Course content: The setting up of top ropes enabling graded routes to be climbed without the need for placing protection and lead climbing.
Equipment: All equipment will be supplied, but clients may use their own if the instructor is happy with the condition and serviceability

Gear Placement and Introduction to Leading

Date: Whenever a instructor is free, please check at reception.
Venue: Dependent on weather and prevailing wind.
Cost: £150 per day for a group size of 2 people(over 18 only).
Who is it for: Those who are competent at leading indoors and wish to progress onto natural rock.
Course content: Route identification and selection. The placing of protection into natural rock, how to lead climbs, how to belay your second and the crag environment.
Equipment: All equipment will be supplied, but clients may use their own if the instructor is happy with the condition and serviceability

Navigation Training

Training can be organised for those who are starting from scratch, or those who wish to bring their skills up to the level required for the National Governing Body Awards such as WGL and ML.

Expeditions

A variety of expeditions can be arranged for individuals or groups, from one night to extended expeditions over several days in an area to suit you, such as Dartmoor, North Wales, The Lake District or Scotland.
